What we Believe Continued

Original Sin

We Believe that man was created perfect, and lived in innocence for some time.

However he was not a robot, he had a will of his own and could choose what course to take.

So the women was deceived by the Devil in the Garden of Eden, and Adam knowingly transgressed the Divine command, and so sin entered into the world and death passed upon all who are Adams descendants ( us ), and all inherited his sinful, fallen nature.

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ provides the only ground of justification and salvation for all who believe.

“What must I do to be saved?” asked a jailor one day, and the answer given still holds good, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved”(Acts16v30&31). Again in Rom 10v9 says”that if thou confess with thy mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in thine heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”.

Upon conversion to God, a person is expected to live a life of holiness, of separation from sin and be set apart for God’s service. This expressed in baptism by immersion, where a believer acknowledges that he has died to sin and rises to walk in newness of life.

The Church

There are two different yet similar aspects of the Church.

The Universal Church - This is composed of every genuine believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, from its conception on the day of pentecost, until its rapture to Heaven at the coming again of Christ.

The Local Church - The local church is the expression of the above in a local setting. Every member should be a genuine believer, having been previously baptised by immersion Each local church is autonomous, answerable only to the Lord (who is head of the church), and not to any human administration. Each local church has a plurality of elders and deacons who order the affairs of the church.

Second Coming of Christ

This will take place in two stages   -   1. Christ coming to the air for the Believer.(1Thess 4v15&16).

 2. Christ coming to the earth with the believers. (2 Thess 1v10).

We believe that christians shall give account of their works at the JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRIST.

We also believe that UNBELIEVERS will give account of their works at the GREAT WHITE THRONE. (Rev 20 vs 11-15).

We believe in HEAVEN for all BELIEVERS( John 3v16 ) and HELL for all UNBELIEVERS (Luke 13 vs 1-5)
